DeWayne Patterson is an athlete, defensive back coach and trainer who works with youth to educate, train and coach on the game of football and defensive Back position.

DeWayne has played football for Washington State University “Go Cougs” as well as in the Arena Football League for Wenatchee Valley Venom, Everett Raptors and the Utah Blaze. He has coached high school football for Evergreen High School and Columbia River High School over the last 6 years. He has coached and trained many All league players over his career and has helped countless kids get to college to further their football career.
As a Player
Redlands High School, where he lettered three times in football, three times in track and field, and once in basketball.as a SOPHOMORE earned all-league and was named the team's best defensive back...JUNIOR year again named team all-league and all-county...helped team reach the playoffs...as a SENIOR earned team all-league and all-county honors...led Terriers to an 11-1 record, the league title, and a No. 2 CIF ranking...recorded 85 tackles and two interceptions... was named the team's defensive MVP...captained the football team, as well as the track and field squad...captured the league title in the long jump.
College Career
Chaffey Community College
2003 Coached by Carl Beach...helped Chaffey to an 8-3 record and a trip to the Verizon Southern California Bowl Registered 50 tackles, 12 sacks and two interceptions at safety and nickel back.

2004 Patterson started the 2004 season being named a Preseason All-American. He collected 90 tackles and three interceptions on his way to an All-Foothill Conference first-team selection at safety.

Washington State
2005 Played in 10 games and started the first two contests of the season. Totaled 24 tackles with a 10-yard sack, one forced fumble and five pass breakups
Professional Career
Wenatchee Valley Venom 2010
Played in 13 games with Wenatchee Valley Venom and registered 58.0 tackles, including a sack and 3.5 stops for losses He also gained 45 yards on two interceptions , 25 yards on two fumble recoveries and 2 touchdowns in addition, he had 16 pass breakup and two forced fumbles. Earning All Pro recognition

Utah Blaze 2011-2012
He started in 6 games in the 2011/2012 season the blaze at linebacker/safety

Everett Raptors 2012
After being traded started 7 games for the Everett raptors at linebacker and safety
